Founded in 2009, Grand Squares is a local square dance club which has grown into one of the largest in Texas.

We are primarily a teen club, with 80% of our members between the ages of 13 and 19. Our vision is to provide a fun, Christian, "high-energy" activity for homeschoolers, their friends, and families.

Grand Squares encourages the whole family to participate; giving teens and parents the opportunity to learn together, while enjoying the social and physical aspects of dancing.

As students graduate from high school they are eligible for college scholarships sponsored by the Texas Square and Round Dance Association.  These scholarships are generally given to all teen dancers who have danced with a sanctioned club two or more years!

If you'd like to check out our next "Just for Fun" dance, where guests join us to try square dancing, it will be on Saturday, April 6th.  For a night of line dancing (you don't need to know how to!), you may join us at our Fundraiser dance on Saturday, November 18th.  Email the address below for more info regarding these dances.

Our lesson series occurs every summer.  For more info, check out our lessons page, and feel free to email (address below) with any questions you may have.

There are clubs all over Texas!

The Texas State Federation of Square & Round Dancers encompasses local associations including The Sam Houston Square and Round Dance Association, of which Grand Squares is a member.  We highly encourage visiting other square dance clubs to gain experience and to discover the different "quirks" that make each caller unique.

Below are links to clubs around the Houston area:

Market Street Squares (for homeschool Christian graduates, ages 17 - 29)

The Tomball Promenaders

Bluebonnet Squares

Texas Renegades

Conroe Country Cousins

Bryan/College Station

Hey Lollies
